     From circa 1630, her married name became Brigges.1

     Lewis Mordaunt, 3rd Lord Mordaunt was born on 21 September 1538.1 He was the son of John Mordaunt, 2nd Lord Mordaunt and Ela FitzLewis.1,2 He married Elizabeth Darcy, daughter of Sir Arthur Darcy and Mary Carew.3 He died on 16 June 1601 at age 62 at Drayton Manor House, Northamptonshire, EnglandG.4
     He was educated at Middle Temple, London, England.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bedfordshire between 1563 and 1567.3 He was appointed Knight in 1568.3 He held the office of High Sheriff of Bedfordshire from 1570 to 1571.3 He succeeded as the 3rd Lord Mordaunt [E., 1532] in October 1571.3 He was one of the peers who sat in judgment on Thomas.3

     John Mordaunt, 2nd Lord Mordaunt was born in 1508.1 He was the son of John Mordaunt, 1st Lord Mordaunt and Elizabeth Vere.2,3 He married, firstly, Ela FitzLewis, daughter of John FitzLewis and Alice Harleston, before 24 February 1526.4 He married, secondly, Joan Fermor, daughter of Sir Richard Fermor and Anne Browne, circa 3 December 1545.4 He died between April 1571 and October 1571 at Turvey, Bedfordshire, EnglandG.1
     He was appointed Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.) in 1533.4 He held the office of Sheriff of Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire in 1537.4 He held the office of Sheriff of Essex and Hertfordshire in 1538.4 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1553.4 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bedfordshire between 1553 and 1555.4 He succeeded as the 2nd Lord Mordaunt [E., 1532] on 18 August 1562.4

John Mordaunt, 1st Lord Mordaunt, 1550 2
     John Mordaunt, 1st Lord Mordaunt was born between 1480 and 1485.1 He was the son of Sir John Mordaunt and Edith Latimer.1 He married Elizabeth Vere, daughter of Sir Henry Vere and Isabella Tresham, from 21 March 1499 to 2 September 1499.3 He died on 18 August 1562 at Turvey, Bedfordshire, EnglandG.1
     He was appointed Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.) in February 1502/3.3 He held the office of Sheriff of Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire in 1509.3 In February 1512/13 he was granted Arms.3 He was created 1st Lord Mordaunt [England by writ] between 5 March 1532 and 4 May 1532.3

     Sir John Mordaunt was the son of William Mordaunt and Margaret Peeke.2 He married Edith Latimer, daughter of Nicholas Latimer.3
     He held the office of Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster.3 He was appointed King's Counsel (K.C.)3 He lived at Turvey, Bedfordshire, EnglandG.1 He held the office of Speaker of the House of Commons in 1487.3 In 1487 he commanded a detachment of King Henry VII's troops in a victory of Stoke over Lambert Simnel and remnants of the Yorkist party.3 He was a practising Serjeant-at-law in 1495.3 He held the office of Justice of Chester in 1500.3 He was appointed Knight on 18 February 1503/4.3
