James Gambier, 1st and last Baron Gambier of Iver1

James Gambier, 1st Baron Gambier of Iver 2
     James Gambier, 1st and last Baron Gambier of Iver was born on 13 October 1756 at New Providence, Barbados.3 He was the son of John Gambier and Deborah Stiles.1,4 He married Louisa Mathew, daughter of Daniel Mathew.4 He died on 19 April 1833 at age 76.3
     He gained the title of 1st Baron Gambier of Iver. He held the office of Governor and Commander-in-Chief of Newfoundland between 1802 and 1804.3 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.) in 1815.3 He gained the rank of Admiral of the Fleet on 22 July 1830.3

     Reverend William Mills Parry Pym was born in 1839.1 He was the son of Reverend William Wollaston Pym and Sophia Rose Gambier.1 He married Maria Georgina Every, daughter of Henry Every and Hon. Caroline Flower, on 21 October 1863.1 He died on 19 July 1872.1
     He was the Rector at Corsham, Wiltshire, EnglandG.1
