I copied this from English Wikipedia en:Template:Efn. But it seems not working. I suppose some more setting is needed in somewhere.

Lorem Ipsum.{{efn|abracadabra}}
<references group="lower-alpha"/>

produces:

Lorem Ipsum.^{[lower-alpha 1]}

↑ abracadabra
