ID naming
[edit]I propose to label this one "DSSTOX ID", per the pattern all (external) identifiers have. Anyway, "substance" is too vague, it should be "compound" (because substance is used when we don't know the formula). (ping ChemConnector). -DePiep (talk) 09:22, 21 April 2019 (UTC)
- It is definitely NOT DSSTOX ID. The identifiers are minted as DTXSIDs (these are substance identifers) and are displayed on a record page and are used for direct URL linking into a page, for example https://comptox.epa.gov/dashboard/dsstoxdb/results?search=DTXSID3022401 lands at DTXSID3022401 for cholesterol. We also have DTXCIDs for chemical identifiers and DTXRIDs for registered chemicals from different sources. For details see the section in https://jcheminf.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s13321-017-0247-6

- OK we can change the label (underlying WD identifier P3117 is unchanged).
- The "S" in DTXSID is for substance then, similar "C" in DTXCID for Chemical identifier, and "R" in DTXRID for Registered. The cholesterol page says: "Searched by DSSTox Substance Id.".
- This property is defined to be the substance identifier (Not some DSSTOX generic identifier), so I'll change that in the label. "C" and "R" are not possible in this property (see regex pattern). -DePiep (talk) 09:23, 22 April 2019 (UTC)
URL updates
[edit]Please update the URLs.
I have received a notice that the the URLs need and update (site API change) formatter URL (P1630), URL match pattern (P8966)
While doing updates to en:riboflavin, which is undergoing a GA review, I noticed that the Infobox correctly links to DTXSID8021777 at comptox.epa.gov. However, when clicking on the link in the article, the URL automatically provided is this one, which goes to the wrong place. It turns out that the epa have recently changed their dashboard and the correct link for riboflavin is now a more complex one. All this is well beyond my skills to fix and needs your expertise delving in the bowels of Wikidata etc. Can you take a look, please? I suspect the problem now spreads to all our drug articles! For riboflavin (Q130365):
- old: https://comptox.epa.gov/dashboard/DTXSID8021777
- new: https://comptox.epa.gov/dashboard/chemical/details/DTXSID8021777
So that looks straightforward:
