Reviews for "#75 - Team Abobo's Big Interview"

Abobo for me started as a game I bumped into when I wasn't really on Newgrounds. I just found about it on youtube as a playthrough of Abobo. And it was a goddamn gift from god. There are not many old browser games I give 10/10 to. There are some like classic project nexus or fancy pants 2 that in my opinion showed to me how amazing the art form can get but this was to another level of talent. The detail, backgrounds, many different game styles into one game emulating that specific series. It's a love letter to NES but also a great game. There are many details about the game people probably wouldn't know. It emulates NES games not just by the looks but also by the Gameplay. The game gets to the point and guess what. It's fucking fun!!! Tbh I am amazed how this small team made this. I know it's passion and anything but this is more than passion. Its talent. No other way around it. Aswell I am extremely thankful that Abobo is still talked about. Cause it deserves discussion. This is an amazing podcast episode. Especially the parts where the creator of the double dragon series thanked the team for what an amazing achievement is Abobo. NGP is nice, great and perfect

Those 2 are Newgrounds legends.

I liked it. Thanks for having us, and thanks to Josh for donating his code without credit to Abobo's Big Adventure ...

I watched the live stream on Jan. 11th and I love me some Abobo. My phone has consistently changed Abobo to Adobo repeatedly and that's giving me diabetes.
Also, I'd read Marie's story over on the Mockery site, and I appreciate the podcast giving it extra attention here. We've got to do more to end the stigma around our mental health. So thanks for that guys!

this is one of my fav episodes, it's very inspiring to hear the timeline of the game and very enriching to hear about all the little things that came up on it's way to release.
