Pepper, a boisterous black kitten and Monterey, a sweet but anxious young ghost have misadventures in a world of ghouls and monsters.

Monterey accidentally shoplifts a pen. He tries to return the stolen item and finds the store is closed. Pepper advises him on how to set things right before the crime is discovered and the law closes in.
