This is really cool. And I like when painting is a little messy in some places (for example the land here) it makes it look better imo. Personally my favorite part in this one is dirt I guess (strange i know lol), looks so awesome.

Wow, beautiful work. I personally don't like the mix of the painterly style with cg graphics (for example some of the lines in the tree lack anti-aliasing and the land is a bit messy) but overall very solid and impressive painting.

Edit: I'm no expert on fields of grass, but I'd say approach it the same way you would draw hair. Break it up into well-defined sections and only start connecting them once you establish enough detail. With a painting this big it would take a lot of time though. The thumbnail is great which is the most important thing.
