REVIEWS

Review by jamey moore (posted on 2-Oct-2007)

Great adult war film. Aldo Ray gives a wonderful performance as the man you love to hate. There is no sadness felt for the character when he is killed near the end. Early Cliff Robertson film before PT 109. Shot in Panama in the late 50's. Guess because it looks so tropical and could double for the south pacific. I think Warner Bros. produced the film although there is no reference to it in the credits. It had all the great Warner sound effects. Another production company could have bought it from Warner Bros. but left it in tack sound effects and all. Over all a great cast and film but, unfortunately, an underated one. Jamey Moore
