Mentees
The LSBA's statewide Transition Into Practice “TIP” Program, is offered to newly admitted LSBA attorneys. Mentees are paired with a Mentor for at least one year beginning on the date of pairing. The Committee on the Profession believes a successful mentoring relationship is extremely beneficial to new lawyers just starting out into the practice of law.

Mentors
The TIP Program is available statewide to all newly admitted LSBA attorneys and experienced Mentors from every Parish are always needed. Mentors who successfully mentor a new admittee receive 6.0 hours of free CLE credit the first year, and 4.0 hours of CLE credit for subsequent pairings. The Bar Association and the Louisiana Supreme Court see this as an opportunity to exercise the highest level of professionalism.

About the TIP Program
TIP matches one mentor with one mentee, giving newly admitted attorneys access to veteran attorneys to assist with their Transition Into the Practice of Law. During the program, mentees will learn practical skills, as well as professionalism, and what is expected of them as a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association. Mentors will share their wisdom and experience they have gained through their career. Mentees will receive knowledge, advice, and hands on experience they do not get in school.
