Notes:

Recently Perris Records posted their Top 10 Best Sellers of the year. However, they listed 15 CDs! WTF? That’s like David Letterman having a Top 10 list with 15 items.

Anyway, since Perris can’t figure out that a Top 10 list should only contain 10 items, I thought we’d do a Sound Scan on all these CDs and see how accurate the Top "10" list is. I found out that it’s not very accurate at all.

These are the Perris Scans as of 2-6-2002

Perris Top 10 Selling Bands for 2001 were:

1. Warrant ‘Under the Influence’ = 2,600

2. Aerosmithsonian ‘Aerosmith tribute’ = 1,517

3. Name Your Poison ‘Poison Tribute’ = 415

4. Nelson ‘Brother Harmony’ = 662

5. George Lynch ‘Will Play For Food’ = 459

6. Vicious Rumors ‘Sadistic Symphony’ = 272

7. Keel ‘Right to Rock’ = 807

8. Bruce Kulick ‘Audio Dog’ = 125

9. Odin ‘Fight For Your Life’ = 83

10. Roxx Gang ‘Bodacious Ta Tas’ Best of’ = 101

11. Every Mother’s Nightmare ‘Back Traxx’ = 96

12. Odin ‘By The Gods’ = 164

13. Cherry St. ‘X Rated’ = 55

14. Big Bang Babies ’3 Chords & the Truth’ = 23

15. Kelly Keagy ‘Time Passes’ = 178

This is too funny for words. I like how Keel sold 807 units and is #7 while the Poison Tribute sold 415 units and is #3. It’s almost hard to believe Perris Records was voted Worst Record Label Of The Year by the Sludgeaholics!
