Press Release: Setting The New Standard For DJ Websites Worldwide.
JN’s primary goal when creating DJ Vice’s website was total accessibility. Traditionally, DJ’s websites are built using Adobe Flash, which can be a great platform for showcasing an interactive and rich media user experiences. The problem with Flash based sites, however, is that most mobile devices on the market cannot access the sites and they are extremely difficult to be accessed by search engines.
In today’s fast paced entertainment and nightlife scenes, successful DJ’s need to manage their personal website as well as simultaneously tending to their social networks and social media. This usually includes Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Flickr and YouTube. The issue is that every time a DJ adds content to any of these sites, they must duplicate their efforts and add the same content to their website. This is essential so that no matter what the client/fans touch point is they can get the information they are looking for.
When DJ Vice came to JN Media, he specifically wanted a website that would address these problems and make the management of his interactive presence easier. In furtherance of this goal, JN Media created a way for all these systems to communicate with each other and aggregate on his website. Now when DJ Vice adds a post, tweet, image, video or event to any of his social network/media sites that information is automatically posted on his website.
The solution we used for DJ Vice’s site was founded on the WordPress content management system. WordPress, although traditionally designed for blogging has evolved into an incredibly powerful website building solution. The WordPress platform has hundreds of plug-ins and widgets to help users tie all of their online presences together. This way artists can eliminate fragmentation and latency associated with maintaining their network of fans and user.
