BYD Auto 2003-yil yanvar oyida BYD Company tomonidan 2002-yilda Qinchuan avtomobil kompaniyasini sotib olganidan keyin tashkil topgan. „BYD Uzbekistan Factory“ kompaniyasi BYD kompaniyasining Xitoy hududidan tashqaridagi ilk hamkorlik loyihasi hisoblanadi. Qo‘shma korxona O‘zbekistonga yangi BYD avtomobillarini yetkazib berish, ishlab chiqarish va sotish bilan shugʻullanadi. Keyinchalik O‘zbekistonda BYD avtomobillarini mahalliylashtirish maqsadida ishlab chiqarishga mo‘ljallangan to‘liq sikl ishga tushiriladi[32].

„BYD Uzbekistan Factory“ elektromobillardan tashqari, O‘zbekiston bozoriga BYD brendi ostidagi eng mashhurlardan hisoblangan Plug-in (PHEV) gibrid elektromobillarini ham olib kirmoqchi. Bu turdagi avtomobillar bitta zaryad va zapravka bilan 1 000 kilometrdan ortiq masofaga yura oladi[32].

Albuquerque avtobusiga oid daʼvo hal qilindi

2018-yil dekabr oyida Albuquerque kengashi BYD-ni „eshiklar ochilgan murvat, oʻz-oʻzidan ochiladigan eshiklar va batareyalar diapazoni bilan bogʻliq muammolar“ uchun sudga berdi.[41] BYD shaharning daʼvolarini muhokama qildi va shahar hokimi Tim Kellerning „yolgʻon va notoʻgʻri maʼlumotlar“ haqida bahslashdi.[42] Daʼvo arizasi pulni almashtirmasdan hal qilindi. Qoʻshma bayonot 2019-yil may oyida chiqarildi.[43]

Denza qoʻshma korxonasi

2010-yil may oyida Shenzhen BYD Daimler New Technology Co., Ltd kompaniyasi Daimler AG[46] bilan hashamatli elektr transport vositalarini ishlab chiqarish uchun tashkil etilgan.[47] Denza 500 modeli Mercedes-Benz B-Class oldingi avlodiga asoslangan.[48]

2010-yilda BYD Auto jami 519,8 mingta transport vositasini sotdi, bu Xitoy bozorining 2,9 foizini va oltinchi yirik ishlab chiqaruvchi.[44][49] 2011-yilda BYD savdo reytingi birinchi oʻntalikdan tashqarida edi. 2012-yilda kompaniya Xitoyda 600000 dan ortiq transport vositalarini ishlab chiqaradigan toʻqqizinchi yirik avtomobil ishlab chiqaruvchisi boʻldi.[50]
