Rewind (FOC)
From Transformers Wiki
The name or term "Rewind" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Rewind (disambiguation). |
- Rewind is an Autobot Mini-Con from the Fall of Cybertron portion of the Aligned continuity family.
Rewind is a Deployer under the command of Blaster who possesses the ability perfectly recall any and every fact he is exposed to, making him a perfect spy for the Autobot cause. This massive data retention ability is prone to giving him crushing headaches, but not to worry—his buddy Sunder is on hand with some dubstep to soothe him.

Toys
Generations
- Autobot Rewind & Sunder (Legends Class, 2012)
- Series / number: 01 / 004
- Accessories: Disc case
- Known designers: Joe Kyde (Hasbro)
- Part of the second wave of Generations Legends Class toys, Fall of Cybertron Rewind is a retool of the Rumble/Frenzy mold, and partially transforms from a "data disc" into a humanoid robot via a spring-loaded process that is triggered when a button on his underside is pressed. He is designed to interact with the Voyager Class Blaster mold, able to store within the larger figure's chest compartment and to be launched out of it, automatically transforming as he lands on his trigger-button. He comes with a translucent red plastic case with a gold Autobot insignia which can be used to store him in disc mode. His fists are c joint compatible, allowing him to hold Cyberverse weapons.
- Rewind uses the same "circuit board" pattern as the other three humanoid data discs, but like the other three, has been mirrored in a way to give each one a unique orientation to the pattern.
- Due to his construction, Rewind has little to no posability, and the fact there is nothing to lock his feet into the proper position renders standing alone very difficult for him.
- He was only available in a two-pack with Sunder. This version of this mold was also used to make Eject.
- This version of Rewind is largely identical to the Hasbro version, but there are a few minor paint differences. He's had silver added to his fists to make them more like his Generation 1 namesake. Also, his disc-mode circuit-board pattern uses a much brighter orange-red as a base, and the gold overlay has been mirrored side-to side from the Hasbro version. This circuit orientation is the same as on the TakaraTomy Eject, but different from the TakaraTomy Rumble & Frenzy. Finally, his disc case has a red Autobot symbol on it instead of the Hasbro gold.
