- Machtackle is an Autobot from the Victory portion of Generation 1 continuity family.
Machtackle (マッハタックル Mahhatakkuru) is the combined form of the two distant Multiforce warriors Mach and Tackle, the form the two are most often seen in during the times when they're together. Combining their gravity and tectonic powers together, they can (somehow) create an axis-shaking tornado attack dubbed the "Multi Spin Tornado Attack", throwing their opponents around wildly.

Machtackle helped wipe the floor with the Dinoforce during an assault on a power plant, though it became necessary to become Landcross to defeat the powerful Dinoking. Unite!! Multiforce Machtackle investigated the sudden appearance of a large sinkhole on Tom's farm in Canada. Machtackle split up into Mach and Tackle to investigate. There they discovered a Decepticon base. They were forced to deal with the Breastforce on their own until reinforcements arrived. During the fight, Tackle suggested they combine with him forming the top half, forming Tacklemach. After the fight Tackle said he would rather form the legs from now on since his battle tactics weren't as good as Mach's. Mach and Tackle
Micromaster
After stumbling into the past through a dimensional rift, Mach, Tackle, and the rest of the Multiforce joined forces with the Autobots from the local timeframe. Mach and Tackle combined into Machtackle to take on Decepticon Sixbuilders, but struggled with fending off the Decepticons when Berserker Sixwing joined the fight. Machtackle then separated into his components so that they could recombine into Landcross and defeat the more formidable opponent. The Menace of Landcross's Combining Formation!

After receiving an S.O.S. from the Earth, Star Saber had Machtackle, Dashtacker and Wingwaver join him in battling the Decepticons causing trouble there. They battled Dinoking as Landcross. So Cool! Our Ally, Star Saber!
When Star Saber was alerted that Leozack was terrorizing the Earth, he left Machtackle, Dashtacker, and Wingwaver stationed at the Galaxy Shuttle while he dealt with the situation himself. Leozack's Rampage!

- Machtackle is the combined mode of the individuals Mach and Tackle, sold together in a two-pack in the Victory portion of Takara's Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers toyline. Mach forms the top half of the combiner, while Tackle forms the lower. He can also be swung around into "Tacklemach" mode, with a new Tackle-dominant head revealed in this form. Of course, the two individuals can also combine with any other member of Multiforce in similar fashion.
- Machtackle also forms limbs to the team's combined Landcross mode; their nominal placement is with Mach as the left arm and Tackle as the left leg. When swapping limb-bots around, care must be taken with whoever's in leg form; Mach needs to be paired with Dash and Tackle with Tacker, otherwise Landcross will have some very lopsided legs. Theoretically Machtackle can form Landcross's torso (as they all share the same general engineering and transformation scheme), but they lack the necessary connections to attach limb-bots or super robot armor.
- In 1995, the three Multiforce two-packs were released in mainland China as part of the severely-delayed Hasbro-distributed Chinese Transformers toyline. They came in slightly-modified versions of their original packaging, with the characters' names now written in Chinese, and the Japanese Transformers logo replaced with a similarly styled Chinese language logo saying "Battles of Victory" (胜利之斗争). They toys themselves are also slightly modified, with their molded-on legal/manufacturing information blotted out and modified to remove Takara's name.

- Machtackle was also available in a gift set containing the entire Multiforce team. All of the toys in this set are physically identical to their individual releases.
- However, this set does not include the bio/trading cards for any of the component duos, only the combined Landcross mode.

- Takara re-released Multiforce in the final wave of Micromaster, as "DX Micromasters". Machtackle was never sold as a "complete" robot; you had to separately-purchase his individually-boxed components Mach and Tackle. The boxes have a small hole in the front to show a number printed on the instructions, revealing which toy is inside.

- Both individuals were also available as black "stealth mode" chase figures, with two randomly-choses boxes per case of twelve toys replaced with the chase versions. And no, you can't peek in through the hole in the box to see if it's a chase or not, as the instructions block it off.
Notes
- Hasbro evidently planned a U.S. release of the Multiforce long enough for Machtackle's components to receive dedicated packaging art, which was eventually uncovered and published by Jim Sorenson and Bill Forster in Legacy: The Art of Transformers Packaging.
- For whatever reason, Machtackle's colors were used in 2015 for the Platinum Edition release of Astrotrain.
