The MMB arrives with Santon and Skywarp and eventually becomes the Maximals' primary spaceship when the grounded Yukikaze never flies again.

The Maximal Mobile Base (サイバトロン移動基地 Cybertron Idōkichi) is a spaceship supporting Lio Convoy's Maximal crew against the forces of Galvatron's Predacons.

The Mobile Base has a small fleet of ships, including the high maneuver fighter aircraft Gaiblade, the spy plane Shinied, the heavy bomber T-Bomber, and the combat attack aircraft Juggler. Its weaponry includes the Turbo Disk and the Anchor Cannon, which, appropriately, fires missile anchors.

It is alternatively named the Cyber Carrier (サイバーキャリア Saibā Kyaria).[1]

  • Cybertron Idōkichi (サイバトロン移動基地, 1998)
  • Accessories: Turbo Disc, 4 micro starships, Anchor Cannon, 4 missiles
  • Known designers: Masakatsu Saito (concept artist)
The "Cybertron Idōkichi" is a toy starship that can open up into a Maximal command center playset. In base mode it has ramps and an elevator that can carry the included micro figurines of Tripledacus and Magnaboss. The lower level of the base mode features the launching Turbo Disc weapon on one side, and on the other is an aircraft platform capable of launching any one of the micro starships also included in the set. All four micro ships can be stored in a compartment beneath the center runway. The orange "Anchor Cannon" can attach to the port side of the ship and can fire a projectile.
Manufactured by Blue Box Toys, the Cybertron Idōkichi is an extensive reworking of an existing toy from Blue Box Toys called Andro Base, part of their Androform toyline from 1984. The Androbase was capable of transforming from starship to a rather crude robot mode with a bunch of ramps in place of its legs. The Cybertron Idōkichi tooling of the mold omits the robot mode and adds cosmetic details and gimmickry to the ship and base modes.
