Fiction
Kre-O cartoon
Lazerbolt, for some reason fighting alongside the Decepticons, tried to take on Optimus Prime during an enormous battle between the two factions. He was taken apart by the Autobot leader, who prepared to smash his head with an energy hammer when he noticed the audience looking on. Optimus then took the time to recap the events of the live-action film series, until his monologue was cut short by Grimlock's attempt to order a pizza. When the pizza arrived, Lazerbolt joined in on the fighting once more, separating into his component 'bots to try to steal Optimus's slice. Take Us Through the Movies

- Part of the fourth wave of Kreon Micro-Changer Combiner sets, Kre-O Lazerbolt comes as a set of four component Kreons: Bullhorn, Floodgate, Freezeout, and Roadhound. The Kreons can be built into their robot modes or their beast modes, or they can be built into Lazerbolt by taking them apart and combining their pieces. Like their wave mates, Lazerbolt is an entirely new character, rather than being a recreation of a classic Combiner.
- Like the entire wave 4 Micro Changer Combiner sets, Lazerbolt comes with only one Kre-O display brick, and a sticker sheet composed of his leg detailing & a Kre-O logo. Also, Lazerbolt's combined mode's waist part is somehow prone to falling off from the assembly while posing, and Lazerbolt has a problem standing straight due to how the legs are constructed.
Notes
- The now-defunct official Kre-O site listed this Combiner as "Icebolt" and their components as Coldsnap, Bullgurr, Gearhead, and Undertow.[1]
- Which head is supposed to be used for Lazerbolt isn't very clear. The big picture on the front of their packaging shows a gray version of Bullhorn's head (which is actually white), while the picture from the back shows Floodgate's head. To make it worse, the instructions use Freezeout's head for Lazerbolt!
- Beyond that, their instructions are filled with errors. Most notably, both their legs are shown to be formed with Roadhound's torso and Freezeout's legs, despite being correctly built in the next steps, with Roadhound as right leg and Bullhorn as left leg. Also, page 12 shows a white piece that doesn't even exist in the set!
- In the Kre-O short video "Take us Through the Movies", Optimus Prime engages in battle with multiple Vehicons, but then proceeds to take on Lazerbolt as if they were a Decepticon also. Dude breaks off their head and almost smashes it with a hammer!
