for students.
BEST (Boosting Science, Engineering, and Technology) is a project-based STEM activity for middle and high school students. In this program, students learn to analyze and solve problems utilizing the engineering design process. They also practice technical communication and marketing skills as they present their solutions.
Starting with a kit of raw materials and simple parts (ie. plywood, PVC pipes, and screws), students have 8 weeks to build a robot to compete in a themed challenge. Along the way, they’ll have to present their design and engineering work. At the end of the ‘build season’, their robot competes against robots from other schools.
