Gorgeous
cluster of cherry-red Rhodochrosite rhombs with golden Pyrite!
This incredible plate of eye candy is from the new workings at the Sweet Home
Mine. Of all the material that has been
discovered to date, very few have the color and gemminess of this fine piece.
The surfaces of the rhombs, and there are a
dozen of them in the cluster, are glassy. The interiors are gem with the depth of
color and radiance that the Sweet Home is
renowned for. The larger rhomb in the center measures 3 cm in size and there is
an accenting of golden Pyrite along the
base of the matrix. The matrix is a mix of Tetrahedrite and Quartz with Pyrite
crystals. One of the best I've seen!

Superb
plate of super lustrous
Pyrargyrite crystals with Calcite on matrix!
One of the finest I've seen from St. Andreasberg recently
and one that has an impressive
provenance as well. The Pyrargyrite crystal grouping is incredibly sharp,
undamaged, and
lustrous. It also still displays an amazing amount of red for a specimen of its
age! Note the
reddish color of the crystals in the bottom close up when exposed to a direct
light. These large
crystals each measure over 1 cm cm in size and are mirror-reflective and
brilliant. I love this
classic specimen and can highly recommend it to anyone who is a Silver mineral
collector!

Gorgeous, dazzling crystal balls of
Olmiite on Bultfonteinite covered matrix!
Many of these specimens were originally labeled as Poldervaartite but analysis
has shown that these are indeed Olmiite - a Mn dominant
Poldervaartite. This lustrous specimen boasts a 4 cm Olmiite crystal ball of a
translucent reddish color surrounded by smaller crystal balls
to the left and right. The color of these is peachy-gold and they are equally
as brilliant! This is the first specimen I've seen with Olmiite
on white acicular needles of Bultfonteinite and I am told this is a very rare
combination. It adds a wonderful white background for the
colorful Olmiite balls. In excellent condition with only the normal edge
trimming contacts along the very bottom. Exceptional cabinet place!

Gorgeous
combination plate featuring gemmy Green Fluorites with pinkish Dolomites on
Quartz drusy!
A beautiful, aesthetic and rare
fluorite and dolomite color combination from the Green Fluorite Mine, a lesser
known
Fe-Mg-Au mine in the Hunan Province of China. These Fluorites are from a pocket
collected towards the end of 2016.
Incredibly gemmy, beautiful sea-green cubes have glass-clear faces fantastically
accented with stepped-growth edges.
The Fluorites are aesthetically set atop a bright white Quartz drusy matrix with
lustrous, pretty pastel-pink, saddle-back
shaped Dolomite crystals on both side and bottom too. and nicely accented with
sparkly drusy quartz. A truly superb combo
specimen, surprising in its association and definately one of the highlights of
late 2016 in China. They show a purple fluorescence.

Exciting new find of Tourmaline var. Paraiba on Quartz with Lepidolite ps
after Tourmaline!
Neon blue Paraiba
Tourmaline is one of the rarest varieties of Tourmaline in existance and
also
one of the most expensive and highly sought after. They are cupriferous and
this imparts an amazing
greenish-blue to neon blue coloration to the crystals. The above crystal
displays the preferred color
and measures a quite large 5 cm in length above the white Quartz matrix. It
is accompanied by an
almost equally as amazing Lepidolite ps after Tourmaline to the right side.
Lepidolite is usually found
in mica form and rarely pseudomorphs Tourmaline. I cherry picked this
specimen for its color and
uniqueness from a small collection of specimens from this new discovery. It
is simply incredible!

Spectacular
plate of Acanthite crystals sitting atop a base of Acanthite matrix!
This is one of the finest Acanthite specimens I've ever seen and is definately
amongst the best
examples I've seen from Morroco. Most Moroccan Acanthites have no matrix and are
pretty
clunky but these crystals have super sharp crystalization with a pyramidal form
and intense
luster. They average 1 to 1.5 cm in size and rise up off the surface in a
stacked, 3-dimensional
setting that is really aesthetic. I was thrilled to find this piece at the show.

Pretty specimen of green Fluorite on
bright white Quartz matrix!
This is a beautiful specimen, and one that I don't see at the shows very often these days.

well,
with a variation of the green color that I can't recall seeing from any other locality.
