The Economics and Finance Letters (EFL) is dedicated to the publication of papers in all aspects of economics and finance. The following areas are encouraged for submission:

  • Economic development: development policy; foreign aid; formal and informal economy; industrial policy; industrialization; institutions and development; poverty; role of international organizations; rural and regional studies; urban; welfare economics.
  • Financial economics: central banks and their policies;  currencies; financial crises; financial econometrics; financial engineering; financial forecasting; financial intermediation; financial markets and their functioning; financial planning during pandemic; inflation; interest rates; monetary and macro-financial issues; monetary systems; monetary theory and policy;  payment systems; regulation, and insurance to corporate finance; risk management of financial institutions;  role of finance in economic development.
  • Growth and natural resources: climate change; empirical growth studies; energy; environment; growth models; institutions and growth; intellectual property rights; primary markets; productivity; renewable resources; resource policies; technological change.
  • Health economics: health and economic development; health and inequality; health and productivity; health behaviour; health care markets; health insurance; health policy; pandemics; public health systems; regulation in health markets. 
  • International trade regional economics:  exchange rate determination; exchange rate systems; International economic; arrangements; international factor movement; migration; regional economic activity; regional economic integration; trade theory and policy; urban and rural economics. 
  • Labour and education economics:  education and economic development;  education and inequality; education policies and systems; employment; human capital labour productivity; labour force; labour markets; retirement policies; skills and return on education;  wages. 
  • Macroeconomic economic theory and policy:  business cycle fluctuations; consumption; fiscal and other fields of economic policies;  income distribution; institutions and the macroeconomy;  investment;  macroeconomic forecasting; macroeconomic modelling;  national accounting;  production;  saving; unemployment.

  1. Submission Acknowledgement: When you submit a manuscript online, you will receive a submission acknowledgement letter sent by the online system automatically. For email submission, the editor or editorial assistant sends an e-mail confirmation to the submission’s author within one to three working days.
  2. First Review: The editor or editorial assistant decides whether the article fits the journal’s aims and scope. Next a checked for the similarity rate is completed using CrossCheck, powered by iThenticate. Any manuscripts out of the journal’s scope or having plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, are rejected without peer reviewed.
  3. Peer Review and Decision of Reviewer: The TEFL is following double-blind system for peer-review; both reviewers and authors’ identities remain anonymous. The paper will be peer-reviewed by three experts; two reviewers from outside and one editor from the journal typically involve in reviewing a submission. The review process may take 3-5 weeks. The result of review will be sent to the corresponding author by email, and he/she will be assumed to send other authors.
  4. Average Time: Articles are peer-reviewed and a first decision provided to authors approximately 45 working days after submission; acceptance to publication is undertaken in 60 to 90 days.
  5. Article Publication Fee:  There is no submission fee; however, the author(s) pay the article processing charges (APC) of 1000 USD, after acceptance. If the article requires extensive English language editing, we will charge additional language editing fee, varying and based on with the length of the article.  If your institute is a member of the Conscientia Beam, your APC could be discounted up to 10%.
  6. DOIs at the Article Level: Each paper published in The Economics and Finance Letters is assigned a DOI number, Click HERE to know what is DOI (Digital Object Identifier).
  7. Publication Notice: The author(s) will be informed by email, when his/her article published online on the journal website.
  8. High Visibility: Indexed in the Web of Science - Emerging Sources Citation Index, Scopus, RePec, Ideas, Scilit, Google Scholar, Academic Informa and abstract videos are available at YouTube channel .
  9. CB Publication Ethics Statement: The Economics and Finance Letters is following the Publication Ethics guideline of Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Please read the Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement of TEFL.
  10. Journal Membership: The Economics and Finance Letters is a member of Cross ref.
  11. Copyright and Reprint Permission: All Rights is Reserved by Conscientia Beam. Abstracting or Indexing is allowed with acknowledgment to the journal source. The personal use of the journal articles is acceptable. However, approval to reprint/republish this material for advertising or promotional purposes or for creating new collective works for resale or redistribution to servers or lists, or to reuse any copyrighted component of this work in other works must be obtained from the journal.
  12. Special Issues: Guest Editors are kindly invited to produce Special Issues consisting of articles organized around a theme of particular interest. These special issues are often edited by guest editors who are not on the editorial board. Proposals for Special Issues are most welcomed as a Guest Editorials and Announcements.
  13. Announcement and Advertisement: Announcements regarding academic activities such as conferences are published for free. Advertisement can be either published or placed on the related website. Contact e-mail address by email: editor@conscientiabeam.com.
  14. Publication Frequency: The Conscientia Beam announces that the frequency of The Economics and Finance Letters will be quarterly from 2023.
