Mention should be made of the prototype CT-4. (c/n 001)
Registered as ZK-DGY it was displayed at the Paris Air Show in 1975.
Sold by PAC in 1983 it is currently owned by a syndicate based at Ardmore.
Although never flown as an RNZAF aircraft it is currently painted in the early grey and red scheme with kiwi roundels and side number 01.

Aircraft crashed into sand dunes and caught fire, near Santoft Forest, 18km west of Bulls while carrying out aerobatic practice with Red Checkers team on 14 January 2010. Pilot, Squadron leader Nick Cree, killed. Sqn Ldr Cree was practicing his solo routine of a "fishtail" pass when he lost control.

First flight 20 May 1999 at Hamilton. Removed from register on 16 June 1999.
Leased from Pacific Aerospace Corporation by RNZAF and operated by Central Flying School Ohakea.
Made a forced landing 12 km south of Rangipo, near Waiouru 27 January 2012. During landing run, struck tussock and overturned, suffering "moderate damage". Pilot escaped unhurt. Aircraft recovered to Ohakea, repaired and returned to service.

In Service 8 June 1999 to December 2014.

Withdrawn from service on completion of lease.

Aircraft flown Ohakea to Hamilton December 2014 and stored at Aeromotive.
