     Raymond de Rorthays was born on 31 March 1874 at Champtocé-sur-Loire, France^G. He was the son of Alfred de Rorthays and Marthe de Montaignac de Chauvance. He married Germaine de la Croix de Beaurepos on 23 October 1906. He died on 2 January 1951 at age 76 at Rome, Italy^G.
