     William Henry Gamble Phipps was born on 11 January 1880.¹ He was the son of Major Charles Edmund Phipps and Susan Stewart Geddes.¹ He married Elsie Shrapnel, daughter of Edward Scrope Shrapnel, on 4 December 1909.¹ He died on 11 May 1943 at age 63.¹

     Augustus Henry Constantine Phipps was born in 1882.¹ He was the son of Major Charles Edmund Phipps and Susan Stewart Geddes.¹ He married Agnes Fraser Maclachlan, daughter of Murdock Maclachlan, in 1909.¹ He died in 1946.²

     Agnes Fraser Maclachlan was the daughter of Murdock Maclachlan.¹ She married Augustus Henry Constantine Phipps, son of Major Charles Edmund Phipps and Susan Stewart Geddes, in 1909.¹ She died in 1971.¹
     Her married name became Phipps.

     Murdock Maclachlan lived at Kilmun, Argyllshire, Scotland^G.¹
