Clare Elizabeth Taylor was the daughter of Charles Henry Taylor.1 She married, firstly, John Alexander Stirling in 1904.2 She married, secondly, Lt.-Col. Lord George Hugo Cholmondeley, son of George Henry Hugh Cholmondeley, 4th Marquess of Cholmondeley and Winifred Ida Kingscote, on 7 March 1911 at Registrar's Office, Buckingham Palace Road, London, EnglandG.2 She and Lt.-Col. Lord George Hugo Cholmondeley were divorced in 1921.1 She died on 27 June 1925.1

John Arthur Lowther was born on 13 October 1910.2 He was the son of Major Hon. Christopher William Lowther and Ina Marjorie Gwendolin Pelly.2 He married Priscilla Lambert, daughter of Reginald Everitt Lambert and Evelyn Dick-Cunyngham, on 22 July 1937.2 He died on 25 August 1942 at age 31, killed in a flying accident.2
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.2 He was Secretary to HRH The Duke of Kent in 1935.2 He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.) in 1937.2 He fought in the Second World War.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve.
