     Her married name became Brodrick.

     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 2nd Volunteer Battalion, West Surrey Regiment.1

Harriet Brodrick, on 18 June 1867.1 She and Rev. Hon. Alan Brodrick were divorced in 1901.1 She died on 2 August 1906.1

Sir James Cosmo Melvill1

     Sir James Cosmo Melvill was born in 1792 at Guernsey, Channel Islands.2 He was the son of Captain Philip Melvill and Elizabeth Carey Dobree.3 He married Hester Jean Frances Sellon, daughter of William Marmaduke Sellon, in March 1815.3 He died on 23 July 1861 at Tandridge Court, Surrey, England.3
     He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)1 He was Chief Secretary of the East India Company between 1836 and 1858.3 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.) on 14 January 1841.3 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) on 5 September 1853.3
