Michael John George Warrender, 3rd Baron Bruntisfield was born on 9 January 1949.1 He is the son of Colonel John Robert Warrender, 2nd Baron Bruntisfield and Ann Moireen Campbell.1 He married Walburga Elizabeth Sidoni Michaela Baronin von Twickel, daughter of Johannes Baron von Twickel and Maria Josepha Gräfin von Merveldt, in 1978 at Lembeck, GermanyG.1
He was educated at Downside School, Bath, Somerset, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Major in 1967 in the Irish GUards.2 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He graduated from Durham University, Durham, County Durham, EnglandG, in 1972 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He retired from the military in 1986.2 He was a director of Fleming and Jardine Fleming Investment Management between 1986 and 2001.2 He was a director of Atlas Capital in 2001.2 He lived in 2003 at 21 St. Petersburgh Place, London, EnglandG.2 He succeeded as the 10th Baronet Warrender on 14 July 2007. He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Bruntisfield, of Boroughmuir, in the City of Edinburgh [U.K., 1942] on 14 July 2007.3
