Catherine Cocks1

     Catherine Cocks was the daughter of James Cocks and Martha Watson.2 She married Joseph Yorke, son of Rt. Rev. Hon. James Yorke and Mary Madocks, on 17 November 1800.1 She died on 3 March 1830.1
     From 17 November 1800, her married name became Yorke.

     Susanna Juliana Ricarda Carolin was born on 12 August 1840.2 She was the daughter of Samuel John Carolin.1 She married Charles George Napier, son of Captain Henry Edward Napier and Caroline Bennett, on 13 December 1860.1 She died on 25 August 1927 at age 87.1
     Her married name became Napier.

Brig.-Gen. Henry Edward Napier1

     Brig.-Gen. Henry Edward Napier was born on 21 September 1861.1 He was the son of Charles George Napier and Susanna Juliana Ricarda Carolin.1 He married Mary Ada Stewart, daughter of Captain W. F. Stewart, in 1887.1 He died on 25 April 1915 at age 53 at Gallipoli, TurkeyG, from wounds received while landing on V Beach, Helles.2
     He fought in the Boer War.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the 1st Battalion, Cheshire regiment.1 He gained the rank of Temporary Brigadier-General in the 2nd Battalion, Royal Irish Rifles.1 He fought in the Gallipoli Campaign on 25 April 1915, for which he was mentioned in despatches.2

     Charles George Napier was born on 20 July 1829.1 He was the son of Captain Henry Edward Napier and Caroline Bennett.1 He married Susanna Juliana Ricarda Carolin, daughter of Samuel John Carolin, on 13 December 1860.1 He died on 2 September 1882 at age 53.1
     He was appointed Fellow, Geological Society (F.G.S.)1 He was registered as a Civil Engineer.1
