     Hon. Augustus Frederick Napier Gore was born on 7 December 1840.¹ He was the son of Philip Yorke Gore, 4th Earl of Arran of the Arran Islands and Elizabeth Marianne Napier.¹ He died on 19 January 1849 at age 8.¹

     Maj.-Gen. Walter Patrick Hore-Ruthven, 10th Lord Ruthven of Freeland was born on 6 June 1870.¹ He was the son of Walter James Hore-Ruthven, 9th Lord Ruthven of Freeland and Lady Caroline Annesley Gore.² He married, firstly, Jean Leslie Lampson, daughter of Norman George Lampson and Helen Agnes Blackburn, on 23 April 1895.¹ He married, secondly, Judith Gordon Bell, daughter of Bertie E. Bell, on 18 November 1953.¹ He died on 16 April 1956 at age 85, without male issue.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902, where he was mentioned in despatches three times.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1900.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Lanarkshire.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Lanarkshire.¹ He gained the rank of Brigade-Major in 1914 in the 4th Guards Brigade.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches seven times and was wouned.¹ He was commanding officer of the 1st Battalion, Scots Guards between 1914 and 1915.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1915.¹ He gained the rank of Brevet Colonel.¹ He gained the rank of GSO(1) between 1915 and 1916 in the 47th and Guards Divisions.¹ He was Brigadier General Staff of the 8th Army Corps between 1916 and 1917.¹ He was commanding officer of the 120th Infantry Brigade in 1918.¹ He was awarded the Gold Medal of Montenegro.¹ He gained the rank of Major-General in the Scots Guards.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1919.¹ He was commanding officer of the 1st Guards Brigade in 1919.¹ He was Brigadier of the Southern Command, India in 1920.¹ He succeeded as the 10th Lord Ruthven of Freeland [S., 1651] on 28 February 1921.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Ruthven of Gowrie, of Gowrie, co. Perth [U.K., 1919] on 28 February 1921.¹ He was GOC of the London District between 1924 and 1928.¹ He held the office of Lieutenant-Governor of Guernsey between 1929 and 1934.¹

     Jean Leslie Lampson was born on 3 January 1877.² She was the daughter of Norman George Lampson and Helen Agnes Blackburn.² She married Maj.-Gen. Walter Patrick Hore-Ruthven, 10th Lord Ruthven of Freeland, son of Walter James Hore-Ruthven, 9th Lord Ruthven of Freeland and Lady Caroline Annesley Gore, on 23 April 1895.¹ She died on 8 December 1952 at age 75.¹
     Her married name became Hore-Ruthven.

     Hon. Emily Cecilia Kinnaird was born on 20 October 1855.¹ She was the daughter of Arthur Fitzgerald Kinnaird, 10th Lord Kinnaird and Mary Jane Hoare.¹ She died on 9 September 1947 at age 91, unmarried.¹
     She was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1920.¹

     Judith Gordon Bell is the daughter of Bertie E. Bell.¹ She married, firstly, Maj.-Gen. Walter Patrick Hore-Ruthven, 10th Lord Ruthven of Freeland, son of Walter James Hore-Ruthven, 9th Lord Ruthven of Freeland and Lady Caroline Annesley Gore, on 18 November 1953.¹ She married, secondly, Major Digby Robert Peel, son of William Felton Peel and Sarah Edith Willoughby, on 13 October 1965.¹
     From 18 November 1953, her married name became Hore-Ruthven. From 13 October 1965, her married name became Peel.

     Major Digby Robert Peel was born in 1887 at Knutsford, Cheshire, England^G.² He was the son of William Felton Peel and Sarah Edith Willoughby.^1,2 He married Dorothy Zoë Fock, daughter of Colonel Henry Edward William Fock, 5th Baron de Robeck and Anna Cranston Alexander, on 8 October 1910 at St. David's Church, Naas, County Kildare, Ireland^G.² He married Judith Gordon Bell, daughter of Bertie E. Bell, on 13 October 1965.¹ He died on 6 January 1971.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Artillery.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹

     Norman George Lampson was born on 23 May 1850.² He was the son of Sir Curtis Miranda Lampson, 1st Bt. and Jane Walter Sibley.² He married Helen Agnes Blackburn, daughter of Peter Blackburn, on 16 November 1874.² He died on 25 October 1894 at age 44.²
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Surrey.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for London.² He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Middlesex.¹

     Helen Agnes Blackburn was the daughter of Peter Blackburn.¹ She married Norman George Lampson, son of Sir Curtis Miranda Lampson, 1st Bt. and Jane Walter Sibley, on 16 November 1874.¹ She died on 12 August 1929.¹
     Her married name became Lampson.

     Peter Blackburn is the son of John Blackburn and Rebecca Leslie Gillies.^2,1
     He held the office of a Lord of the Treasury.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Stirlingshire.² He lived at Killearn, Stirlingshire, Scotland^G.¹

     Sir Curtis Miranda Lampson, 1st Bt. was born on 21 September 1806.¹ He was the son of William Lampson and Rachel Powell.¹ He married Jane Walter Sibley, daughter of Gibbs Sibley, on 30 November 1827 at New York, U.S.A.^G.¹ He died on 12 March 1885 at age 78.¹
     He was naturalized as a British subject in 1843.¹ He was director of the Atlantic Telegraph Company.¹ He helped to complete the trans-Atlantic telegraph cable.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Lampson [U.K.] on 16 November 1866.¹
