Walter Patrick Hore-Ruthven, 10th Lord Ruthven of Freeland was born on 6 June 1870.1 He was the son of Walter James Hore-Ruthven, 9th Lord Ruthven of Freeland and Lady Caroline Annesley Gore.2 He married, firstly, Jean Leslie Lampson, daughter of Norman George Lampson and Helen Agnes Blackburn, on 23 April 1895.1 He married, secondly, Judith Gordon Bell, daughter of Bertie E. Bell, on 18 November 1953.1 He died on 16 April 1956 at age 85, without male issue.1
