William FitzHardinge Berkeley, 1st and last Earl FitzHardinge1

     William FitzHardinge Berkeley, 1st and last Earl FitzHardinge was born illegitimately on 26 December 1786.2 He was the son of Frederick Augustus Berkeley, 5th Earl of Berkeley and Mary Cole.1 He died on 10 October 1857 at age 70 at Berkeley Castle, Berkeley, Gloucestershire, EnglandG, unmarried.2
     He was styled as Viscount Dursley between 1796 and 1831.1 In 1810 he succeeded to his father's huge estates.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Gloucester between 1810 and 1811.2 In 1811 he unsuccessfully petitioned to the House of Lords for a summons as the 14th Lord Berkeley, but was not able to prove his legitimacy.2 He was created 1st Baron Segrave of Berkeley Castle, co. Gloucester [U.K.] on 10 September 1831.2 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Gloucestershire between 1836 and 1857.2 He was created 1st Earl FitzHardinge [U.K.] on 17 August 1841.2
     On his death, his two peerages became extinct.2

Lady Charlotte Reynolds-Moreton1

     Lady Charlotte Reynolds-Moreton was born in November 1806. She was the daughter of Thomas Reynolds-Moreton, 1st Earl of Ducie.1 She married Admiral Maurice Frederick FitzHardinge Berkeley, 1st Baron FitzHardinge of Bristol, son of Frederick Augustus Berkeley, 5th Earl of Berkeley and Mary Cole, on 30 September 1834.1 She died on 2 July 1881 at age 74 at London, EnglandG, without issue.1
     Her married name became Berkeley. After her marriage, Lady Charlotte Reynolds-Moreton was styled as Baroness FitzHardinge of Bristol on 5 August 1861.

     Thomas Moreton FitzHardinge Berkeley, 6th Earl of Berkeley was born on 19 October 1796 at Cranford, London, EnglandG.1 He was the son of Frederick Augustus Berkeley, 5th Earl of Berkeley and Mary Cole.1 He was baptised on 19 November 1796 at St. Margaret's-in-the-Fields, Westminster, London, EnglandG, as Lord Dursley.1 He died on 27 August 1882 at age 85 at Cranford, London, EnglandG, unmarried.1
     He succeeded as the 6th Earl of Berkeley [E., 1679] on 8 August 1810, de jure.1 He succeeded as the 6th Viscount Dursley, co. Gloucester [E., 1679] on 8 August 1810, de jure.1 He succeeded as the 14th Lord Berkeley [E., 1421] on 8 August 1810, de jure.1 He matriculated at Corpus Christi College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, on 16 June 1814.1
     On his death, the Lordship of Berkeley passed to his heir general, his niece Lousia Mary Berkeley, while the Earldom of Berkely and Viscountancy of Dursley passed to his heir male, his cousin George Lennox FitzHardignge Berkeley.3

     Charlotte Onslow was the daughter of General Denzil Onslow and Sophia Lushington.1,2 She married, firstly, George Newton, son of Samuel Newton and Jane Roger, in 1829.3 She married, secondly, Hon. Craven FitzHardinge Berkeley, son of Frederick Augustus Berkeley, 5th Earl of Berkeley and Mary Cole, on 27 August 1845.1 She died on 25 January 1897.1
     From 1829, her married name became Newton.3 Her married name became Berkeley.

     Sir Peter Norton-Griffiths, 2nd Bt. was born on 3 May 1905.2 He is the son of Sir John Norton-Griffiths, 1st Bt. and Gwladys Wood.2 He married Kathryn Schrafft, daughter of George F. Schrafft, on 15 October 1935.2 He died on 13 October 1983 at age 78.2
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.2 He was educated at Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.2 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Norton-Griffiths, of Wonham, co. Surrey [U.K., 1922] on 27 September 1930.2 He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1931 entitled to practise as a barrister.2 He gained the rank of Major in the Intelligence Corps.2 He was Assistant Military Attaché, Madrid.2 He fought in the Second World War.2 He was awarded the Officer, Oaken Crown of Luxembourg.2 He was awarded the Officer, Order of the Crown of Belgium.2
