Sir Alfred Frederic Adolphus Slade, 3rd Bt. was born on 28 May 1834.1 He was the son of Sir Frederick William Slade, 2nd Bt. and Barbara Maria Browne-Mostyn.1 He married Mary Constance Cuthbert, daughter of William Cuthbert, on 6 September 1860.1 He died on 19 July 1890 at age 56.1
He gained the rank of Captain in the 57th Foot.1 He fought in the Siege of Sebastopol.1 He fought in the Indian Mutiny.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Slade, of Maunsel House, Somerset [U.K., 1831] on 8 August 1863.2 He was Receiver-General of Inland Revenue.1 He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in the 2nd Somerset Volunteers.1

Sir Cuthbert Slade, 4th Bt. was born on 10 April 1863.2 He was the son of Sir Alfred Frederic Adolphus Slade, 3rd Bt. and Mary Constance Cuthbert.2 He married Kathleen Scovell, daughter of Rowland Scovell, on 2 December 1896.2 He died on 8 February 1908 at age 44.2
