He was created 1st Marquis Gandolfi [Papal States] on 29 March 1895.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Herefordshire.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Worcestershire.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Worcestershire.2 He was created 1st Duke Gandolfi [Papal States] on 6 May 1899.2 He was awarded the Knight Grand Cross, Pontifical Order of the Holy Sepulchre.2 He succeeded as the 14th Marchese Gandolfi in 1902.
