Sir John Throgmorton Middlemore, 1st Bt.1

     Sir John Throgmorton Middlemore, 1st Bt. was born on 9 June 1844.1 He was the son of William Middlemore and Mary Groom.1 He married, firstly, Marian Bagnall, daughter of Richard Bagnall, in 1878.1 He married, secondly, Mary Price, daughter of Reverend Thomas Price, on 29 December 1881.1 He died on 17 October 1924 at age 80.1
     In 1872 he founded and managed the Middlemore Children's Emigration Homes for the emigration and training of destitute children in agriculture in Canada.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for North Birmingham between 1899 and 1918.1 He was created 1st Baronet Middlemore, of Selly Oak, Northfield, co. Worcester [U.K.] on 27 May 1910.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1

     Sir William Hawkslow Middlemore, 2nd Bt. was born on 10 April 1908.1 He was the son of Sir John Throgmorton Middlemore, 1st Bt. and Mary Price.1 He married Violet Constance Kennagh, daughter of Andrew Kennagh, on 11 July 1934.2 He died on 1 June 1987 at age 79.3
     He was educated at Shrewsbury School, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England.2 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Middlemore, of Selly Oak, Northfield, co. Worcester [U.K., 1919] on 17 October 1924.1 He was educated at Worcester College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.2

     Mary Price was the daughter of Reverend Thomas Price.1 She married Sir John Throgmorton Middlemore, 1st Bt., son of William Middlemore and Mary Groom, on 29 December 1881.1 She died on 24 February 1935.1
     From 29 December 1881, her married name became Middlemore.1
