     Reverend John Maryon Wilson was born on 4 February 1880.1 He was the son of Reverend George Maryon Wilson and Albinia Frances Short.1 He married Gwendoline May Wanklyn, daughter of Alec Wanklyn, on 18 May 1930.1 He died on 6 September 1959 at age 79, without issue.1
     He was educated at Radley College, Radley, Oxfordshire, England.1 He graduated from Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1905 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He graduated from Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1906 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was Rector between 1912 and 1954 at Great Canfield, Dunmow, Essex, England.1 He held the office of Rural Dean of Roding between 1944 and 1952.1
