     Karl III Wilhelm Markgraf von Baden-Durlach was born on 17 January 1679 at Durlach, GermanyG.2 He was the son of Friedrich VII Magnus Markgraf von Baden-Durlach and Auguste Marie Prinzessin von Holstein-Gottorp.1 He married Magdalena Wilhelmina von Württemberg, daughter of Wilhelm Ludwig Herzog von Württemberg and Magdalene Sibylle Landgravine von Hessen-Darmstadt, on 27 June 1697.2 He and Magdalena Wilhelmina von Württemberg were separated in 1715.2 He died on 12 May 1738 at age 59 at Karlsruhe, Baden-Württemburg, Germany.1,2
     He succeeded as the Markgraf von Baden-Durlach in 1709.1

     Dorothea Charlotte Prinzessin von Brandenburg-Ansbach was born on 18 November 1661.2 She was the daughter of Albrecht II Markgraf von Brandenburg-Ansbach and Sophie Margaret von Oettingen.1 She married Ernst Ludwig Landgraf von Hessen-Darmstadt, son of Ludwig VI Landgraf von Hessen-Darmstadt and Elisabeth Dorothea Prinzessin von Sachsen-Gotha, on 1 December 1687.2 She died on 15 November 1705 at age 43.2
     She gained the title of Prinzessin von Brandenburg-Ansbach in 1662.

She was the daughter of Johann Reinhard III Fürst zu Hanau-Lichtenberg and Dorothea Friederike Prinzessin von Brandenburg-Ansbach.1 She married Ludwig VIII Landgraf von Hessen-Darmstadt, son of Ernst Ludwig Landgraf von Hessen-Darmstadt and Dorothea Charlotte Prinzessin von Brandenburg-Ansbach, on 5 April 1717 at Philippsruhe, GermanyG.2 She died on 1 July 1726 at age 26.
