     Captain Hon. Hubert Anthony John Preston was born on 20 December 1885.1 He was the son of Jenico William Joseph Preston, 14th Viscount Gormanston and Georgina Jane Connelan.1 He married Mary Kenny, daughter of Rt. Hon. William Kenny, on 8 January 1917.1 He died on 12 July 1940 at age 54.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 3rd Battalion, Royal Irish Regiment.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded twice.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1

     From before 1917, her married name became Pringle.1 Her married name became Preston.
