Sir Harry Lushington Stephen, 3rd Bt. was born on 2 March 1860.1 He was the son of Sir James Fitzjames Stephen, 1st Bt. and Mary Richenda Cunningham.1 He married Barbara Nightingale, daughter of William Shore Nightingale, on 24 December 1904.1 He died on 1 November 1945 at age 85.1
He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1882 with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.)1 He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1885 entitled to practise as a barrister-at-law.1 He held the office of Judge of the High Court of Calcutta between 1901 and 1914.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1903 with a Master of Laws (LL.M.)1 He held the office of Alderman of London County Council between 1916 and 1928.1 He held the office of Alderman of London City Council between 1916 and 1928.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Stephen, of de Vere Gardens, London [U.K., 1891] on 23 October 1932.1
