Edmund Brydges, 2nd Baron Chandos of Sudeley was born before 1522.1 He was the son of John Brydges, 1st Baron Chandos of Sudeley and Elizabeth Grey.2 He married Dorothy Bray, daughter of Edmund Bray, 1st Lord Braye and Jane Halliwell, circa 1548.1 He died on 11 March 1572/73.1 He was buried at Sudeley Castle, Winchcombe, Gloucestershire, EnglandG.2 His will was proven (by probate) on 5 June 1573.2
He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Wootton Bassett between 1545 and 1547.2 He fought in the Battle of Musselburgh on 27 September 1547.2 He was appointed Knight Banneret.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Gloucestershire between September 1553 and December 1553.2 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Chandos of Sudeley, co. Gloucester [E., 1554] on 12 April 1557.2 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Gloucestershire in 1559.2 He was appointed Knight, Order of the Garter (K.G.) on 23 April 1572.2 His last will was dated 1 March 1572/73.
