Edward Albert Fitzroy was born on 7 February 1840.2 He was the son of Captain William Simon Houghton Fitzroy and Anne Philip Bagge.2 He married Lucy Janetta Julia Macpherson, daughter of Colonel Ewan Macpherson of Cluny Macpherson, 14th Chief and Sarah Justina Davidson, on 29 October 1874.2 He died on 27 December 1915 at age 75.2
