     Captain Frederick James Colville was born on 30 May 1913.¹ He was the son of Admiral Hon. Sir Stanley Cecil James Colville and Lady Adelaide Jane Meade.² He married Dorothy Louisa Fane, daughter of Hubert William Fane and Mathilde Emilie Aloise von Adametz, on 28 September 1938.¹ He died on 11 June 1940 at age 27 at Dunkirk, France^G, killed in action.^1,3
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 1st Battalion, Gordon Highlanders.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹

     Clifford John Maddocks is the son of John Maddocks.¹ He married Dorothy Louisa Fane, daughter of Hubert William Fane and Mathilde Emilie Aloise von Adametz, on 27 December 1941.¹ He and Dorothy Louisa Fane were divorced in 1962.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve.¹

     John Maddocks lived at Rhymney House, Monmouthshire, Wales^G.¹

     Cynthia Diana Maddocks was born on 20 April 1944.¹ She is the daughter of Clifford John Maddocks and Dorothy Louisa Fane.¹ She married John Charles Johnson Orchard, son of Ronard Stark Orchard, on 12 August 1967.¹
     From 12 August 1967, her married name became Orchard.¹ She lived in 2003 at Honington Glebe, Honington, Shipston-on-Stour, Warwickshire, England^G.¹

     Anne Susan Maddocks was born on 12 July 1948.¹ She is the daughter of Clifford John Maddocks and Dorothy Louisa Fane.¹ She married Richard Fullerton Evetts, son of Desmond Frederick Evetts and Rosamond Clarke, on 5 October 1968.¹ She and Richard Fullerton Evetts were divorced in 1988.¹
     From 5 October 1968, her married name became Evetts.¹

     Hon. William Borthwick was born on 14 June 1879.¹ He was the son of Sir Thomas Borthwick, 1st Bt. and Letitia Mary Banks. He married Ruth Margery Rigby, daughter of Jason Rigby, on 10 June 1909.¹ He died on 16 December 1956 at age 77.¹
     On 8 February 1913 he was granted the rank of a baron's son.² He gained the rank of Temporary Captain in the King's Royal Rifle Corps.¹ He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1919, where he was wounded twice and became a POW.¹ He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1919 entitled to practise as a Barrister-at-Law.¹

     Ruth Margery Rigby was the daughter of Jason Rigby.¹ She married Hon. William Borthwick, son of Sir Thomas Borthwick, 1st Bt. and Letitia Mary Banks, on 10 June 1909.¹ She died in 1971.¹
     From 10 June 1909, her married name became Borthwick.¹

     Jason Rigby lived at Wimbledon, London, England^G.¹ He was registered as a Member, Institution of Civil Engineers (M.I.C.E.)¹

     Sir Thomas Borthwick, 1st Bt. was born on 11 January 1835.² He was the son of Thomas Borthwick.² He married Letitia Mary Banks, daughter of Thomas Banks, on 2 January 1872.² He died on 31 July 1912 at age 77.¹
     Proprietor of Thomas Borthwick & Sons Ltd.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Borthwick, of Whitburgh House, Ford, co. Midlothian [U.K.] on 21 July 1908.² He lived at Whitburgh House, Ford, Midlothian, Scotland^G.¹ On 14 June 1912 his elevation to the peerage was announced, but he died before the issue of the Letters Patent.¹

     Thomas Banks Borthwick, 1st and last Baron Whitburgh was born on 21 August 1874 at Eglyssach, Caernarvonshire, Wales^G.¹ He was the son of Sir Thomas Borthwick, 1st Bt. and Letitia Mary Banks.¹ He died on 29 September 1967 at age 93, unmarried.²
     He was a partner in the firm of Thomas Borthwick & Sons Ltd.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Midlothian.³ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Midlothian.³ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Borthwick, of Whitburgh House, Ford, co. Midlothian [U.K., 1908] on 31 July 1912.³ He was created 1st Baron Whitburgh, of Whitburgh, in the county of Midlothian [U.K.] on 10 December 1912.¹
     On his death, the Barony of Whitburgh became extinct, although his Baronetcy was inheriited by his nephew, John Thomas Borthwick.²
