     Roger Wake was born on 19 September 1918 at Paddington, London, England.² He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Sir Hereward Wake, 13th Bt. and Margaret Winifred Benson.¹ He married, firstly, Olwen Mary Wynne-Finch, daughter of Colonel John Charles Wynne-Finch and Alice Mary Sybil Glyn, on 22 July 1944.¹ He and Olwen Mary Wynne-Finch were divorced in 1969.¹ He married, secondly, Belinda Joan Crossley, daughter of Charles Patrick Crossley, in 1984.³ He died on 23 May 1988 at age 69 at Lochmaddy, Hebrides, Scotland.^1,4
