Elizabeth Finlay was born circa 1778.1 She was the daughter of William Henry Finlay and Mary Ann Stear.1 She married Hans Blackwood, 3rd Baron Dufferin and Claneboye, son of Sir John Blackwood, 2nd Bt. and Dorcas Stevenson, Baroness Dufferin and Claneboye, on 8 July 1801.1 She died in July 1843.1
Her married name became Blackwood. After her marriage, Elizabeth Finlay was styled as Baroness Dufferin and Clandeboye on 8 August 1836.

Mehetabel Hester Temple was the daughter of Robert Temple.1 She married Hans Blackwood, 3rd Baron Dufferin and Claneboye, son of Sir John Blackwood, 2nd Bt. and Dorcas Stevenson, Baroness Dufferin and Claneboye, on 19 June 1784.1 She died on 7 February 1798.1

Walter Randolph Farquhar was born on 6 January 1842.2 He was the son of Sir Walter Rockcliffe Farquhar, 3rd Bt. and Lady Mary Octavia Somerset.2 He married Hon. Kathleen Mary Bateson, daughter of Thomas Bateson, 1st Baron Deramore of Belvoir and Hon. Caroline Elizabeth Anne Rice-Trevor, on 29 May 1877.1 He died on 26 August 1901 at age 59.1

Sir Walter Randolph FitzRoy Farquhar, 5th Bt. was born on 31 May 1878.2 He was the son of Walter Randolph Farquhar and Hon. Kathleen Mary Bateson.2 He married Violet Maud Corkran, daughter of Colonel Charles Seymour Corkran and Florence Caroline Peel, on 17 December 1903.2 He died on 15 October 1918 at age 40, killed in action.2
He was Hon Attaché to St. Petersburg in 1898.2 He was Aide-de-Camp to Lord Lamington in Australia.2 He gained the rank of Temporary Captain in the Army Service Corps.2 He fought in the First World War, in Gallipoli, Egypt and France.2 He gained the rank of Temporary Captain in the Royal Field Artillery.2 He was Aide-de-Camp to Brig.-Gen. A. Cator, 58th Division.2 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Farquhar [G.B., 1796] on 15 January 1916.2
