Robert Marsham-Townshend and Clara Catherine Paley.1,2 He married, firstly, Cecilia Frances Laura Bunbury, daughter of Sir Henry Charles John Bunbury, 10th Bt. and Laura Lavinia Wood, on 19 April 1904.1 He married, secondly, Laura Constance Elinor Bunbury, daughter of Sir Henry Charles John Bunbury, 10th Bt. and Laura Lavinia Wood, on 6 December 1913.1 He died on 17 May 1967 at age 89.2
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.2 He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Scots Guards.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Kent.2 He fought in the Lieutenant, 4th Battalion, Gloucestershire Regiment.2 He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded.2
