     Robert Cecil Byng, 7th Earl of Strafford was born on 29 July 1904.1 He was the son of Hon. Ivo Francis Byng and Agnes Constance Travers.1 He married, firstly, Maria Magdalena Elizabeth Cloete, daughter of Henry Cloete, on 1 January 1934.1 He and Maria Magdalena Elizabeth Cloete were divorced in 1947.1 He married, secondly, Clara Evelyn Wadia, daughter of Sir Nusserwanjee Nowrosjee Wadia, on 19 June 1948.1 He died on 4 May 1984 at age 79.1
     He was educated at Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, Devon, England.1 He graduated from Clare College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1931 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He graduated from Clare College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1940 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He succeeded as the 7th Earl of Strafford [U.K., 1847] on 24 December 1951.1 He succeeded as the 7th Viscount Enfield, of Enfield, co.      Maria Magdalena Elizabeth Cloete was the daughter of Henry Cloete.1 She married, firstly, Robert Cecil Byng, 7th Earl of Strafford, son of Hon. Ivo Francis Byng and Agnes Constance Travers, on 1 January 1934.1 She and Robert Cecil Byng, 7th Earl of Strafford were divorced in 1947.1 She married, secondly, James Henry Royds, son of Lt.-Col. Albert Henry Royds and Adeliza Beatrix Drummond, after 1947.1 She died in 2001.1
     Her married name became Byng. From after 1947, her married name became Royds.1

     Thomas Edmund Byng, 8th Earl of Strafford was born on 26 September 1936.1 He was the son of Robert Cecil Byng, 7th Earl of Strafford and Maria Magdalena Elizabeth Cloete.2 He married, firstly, Jennifer Mary Denise May, daughter of Rt. Hon. William Morrison May, on 2 August 1963.1 He and Jennifer Mary Denise May were divorced in 1980.1 He married, secondly, Julia Mary Pilcher, daughter of Sir Charles Dennis Pilcher, on 30 May 1981.2 He died on 12 November 2016 at age 80.3
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at Clare College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Sussex Regiment.1 He succeeded as the 8th Viscount Enfield, of Enfield, co.      Clara Evelyn Wadia was the daughter of Sir Nusserwanjee Nowrosjee Wadia.1 She married Robert Cecil Byng, 7th Earl of Strafford, son of Hon. Ivo Francis Byng and Agnes Constance Travers, on 19 June 1948.1 She died in 1985.1
     Her married name became Byng. After her marriage, Clara Evelyn Wadia was styled as Countess of Strafford on 24 December 1951.
