     William Danby was born on 9 July 1752.2 He was the son of Reverend William Danby and Mary Affleck.1 He married, firstly, Caroline Seymour, daughter of Henry Seymour and Lady Caroline Cowper, in September 1775.3 He married, secondly, Anne Howell Gater, daughter of William Gater, on 5 January 1822.2 He died on 4 December 1833 at age 81.2
     He lived at Swindon Park, Yorkshire, England.1 He lived at Swinton Park, Yorkshire, England.4 He held the office of High Sheriff of Yorkshire in 1784.2
