     Jean Scott is the daughter of Patrick Scott of Rossie and Craig and unknown daughter Beattie.1 She married Hon. Alexander Arbuthnott of Knox, son of Robert Arbuthnott, 1st Viscount of Arbuthnott and Catherine Fraser, on 22 February 1671.1
     From 22 February 1671, her married name became Arbuthnott.1
