Sir Alexander Hope of Kerse, 3rd Bt. was born on 3 January 1697.2 He was the son of Sir Alexander Hope of Kerse, 2nd Bt. and Nicola Hamilton.3,2 He married Lady Anne Carnegie, daughter of David Carnegie, 4th Earl of Northesk and Lady Margaret Wemyss, on 12 June 1720 at Falkirk, Stirlingshire, Scotland.1,2 He died on 24 February 1749 at age 52.2
He gained the title of 3rd Baronet Hope. He lived at Kerse, Stirlingshire, Scotland.1
