     Major Charles Theodore Foster was born on 27 February 1891 at Chesterfield, Derbyshire, England.2 He was the son of Theodor Foster.2 He was baptised on 22 April 1891.2 He married Cecil Isabel Onslow, daughter of Lt.-Col. Richard Cranley Onslow and Edith Margaretta Beer, on 3 April 1923.1 He died in September 1953 at age 62 at Tavistock, Devon, England.2
     He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1 He gained the rank of Major in the York and Lancaster Regiment.1

     From 23 August 1894, her married name became Onslow.1
