     William Dishington of Ardross was the son of Sir George Dishington of Ardross and Janet Lundin.1 He married Elizabeth Crichton before 1543.1 He married Jennet Sandilands, daughter of Sir James Sandilands, 5th of Calder and Margaret Kerr.2 He died on 10 February 1547 at Pinkie Cleugh, Inveresk, East Lothian, Scotland, killed in action.3
     He fought in the Battle of Pinkie on 10 February 1547.3
