     Lt.-Cdr. George Stewart Wright is the son of J. L. Wright.1 He married Mary Hughes-Onslow, daughter of Commander Sir Geoffrey Henry Hughes-Onslow and Hon. Eileen Mabel Lowther Crofton, on 19 February 1952.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the Royal Naval Reserve.1 He was awarded the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve Officers' Decoration (V.R.D.)1

     From 21 May 1947, her married name became Lithgow.1
