     Dr. Charles Henry Scott was born on 14 March 1814 at Portsea, Hampshire, England.1 He was the son of James Scott and Sophia Button.1 He was baptised on 10 April 1814 at St. Mary's Church, Portsea, Hampshire, England.1 He married, firstly, Susan Elizabeth Moncrieffe, daughter of Reverend David Stewart Moncrieffe and Sarah Ann Simmons, on 19 September 1844 at St. Andrews, Clifton, Bristol, England.1 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Katherine Dick, daughter of David Dick and Elisabeth Catherine Mackenzie, on 5 June 1851 at Broadwater, Sussex, England.1 He married, thirdly, Elizabeth Surtees, daughter of Reverend John Surtees and Mary Anne Hawkins, on 5 September 1871 at Frenchay, St. John the Baptist, Clifton, Bristol, England.1 He died on 14 April 1891 at age 77 at Clifton, Bristol, England.1

     Susan Elizabeth Moncrieffe was born on 11 October 1807.1 She was the daughter of Reverend David Stewart Moncrieffe and Sarah Ann Simmons.2 She married Dr. Charles Henry Scott, son of James Scott and Sophia Button, on 19 September 1844 at St. Andrews, Clifton, Bristol, England.1 She died on 6 March 1846 at age 38, burnt to death in a house fire.1
     From 19 September 1844, her married name became Scott.1

     Colonel Walter Craufurd Kennedy was born on 3 June 1811 at Portsea, Hampshire, England.1 He married Elizabeth Mary Scott, daughter of James Scott and Sophia Button, on 22 July 1836 at St. Mary's, Buckland, Somerset, England.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 2nd West India Regiment.1 He retired from the military on 10 December 1858, with the rank of Colonel, late of the 5th Foot Regiment.1
